Hi guys, after a long time. You know how much efforts, time and money it takes to make a good and watchable film. It's a lot and a successful film is made by the combine efforts of a whole group of people involved in it's making. But just imagine when you put so much efforts and devotion in making a film and it fails terribly on box office and gets undesirable reviews from critics. It's really heartbreaking and depressing. But what is more disappointing is that when you actually make a good and worth watching films, but still it fails to perform in the theaters 😞. So today in this latest episode of Mix Mania we will be discussing about those movies ahead of their time, which failed in impressing the audience, The underrated movies all time. And yes not to mention all the movies which we will be discussing about are underrated bollywood movies, and not any hollywood movie. 

What are exactly Underrated Bollywood movies or movies ahead of their time -

So, when we talk about underrated movies all time, what do we actually mean? Actually underrated movies are those films who failed in making a decent box office collection and failed to impress the audience. 

But the overall storyline and film was actually really good and worth watching. Underrated movies are those who actually deserve much better reviews, money and attention then what they had achieved in it's whole theatrical run. A movie can be underrated due to various reasons -

• Movies ahead of their time - Sometimes filmmakers show a very extraordinary storyline, which does not fit with the current situation of society and audience are generally not able to cope up with it. Such films don't get attention in it's theatrical run, but later it is praised by the critics. 
• Movie which shows any type of sensitive issue related to religion or politics. 
• Movies which doesn't have any Superstar in it. Generally this is the biggest reason for underrated bollywood movies. There are various films which does not casts any big superstar and these movies goes unrecognized by the audience. 

So I had been watching a lot of movies lately and there are some of the movies which you should definitely watch. And I was surprised when I came to know the fact that these films failed at the box office and didn't performed well and became underrated movies all time. Some of these movies are -

LONDON PARIS NEWYORK - 

One of the most beautiful love story I had seen in Bollywood. The film was released in 2012 and sadly didn't performed well ar box office. It was definitely one of the movies ahead of their time. The film stars Ali Zafar and Aditi rao hydari in lead and no other big superstar.

The movie has best music scores, best acting performances, specially Ali was great, storyline was different and engaging with the beautiful locations as the title says. Story is little bit inspired from a Hollywood movie 'Before Sunrise', but still remains unique in it's own way. It's one of the best underrated movies all time I had watched. It's available on YouTube for free to watch, although quality is not that good. I would recommend to watch it on Hotstar. 

Ra.One - 

When it comes to superheroes, Bollywood had mostly disappointed it's audience. There are mostly cringe, copied with poor cgi superheroes movies made in Bollywood. But there was this film Ra.One which was the best Bollywood superhero movie I had seen so far. It was released in 2011 and had the best cgi work in the genre of superhero. Though there are some problems in the movie, like it was more a family movie than a superhero, some cringe scenes are also there, but still Ra.One stands really tall in superhero genre in Bollywood. It flopped in 2011 as it was one of the movies ahead of their time, and Indian audience was not ready for such things. It stars Shahrukh khan and Kareena kapoor. Also director bought Akon to make one of the songs of the movie. Despite of having such big superstars it failed and remains best underrated movies all time in superhero genre. 

404 Error Not Found -

I'm sure most of you haven't even heard of this movie. It's one of the most underrated bollywood movies. It doesn't casts any big star in the movie. But it's a must watch film and I bet you haven't seen anything like this before. The movie has a little bit of horror touch and a whole thriller storyline. The climax will leave you shock and question the whole film. 

Really one of the greatest movies made and the most underrated movies all time, which didn't got any recognization at its release. You have to watch this movie without any delay. 

Ship of Theseus - 

Another underrated bollywood movies, which you haven't even heard of. The movie called 'Ship of Theseus' is actually very different than any other bollywood movies and it's not necessary that everyone would like it. 

Maybe it's possible that most of you won't like the movie or feel bored while watching it unless you understand the real meaning of the concept on which movie is based. If you understand that then you will definitely learn something from this film and it may even change your life. This is one of the underrated movies all time available to you for free on YouTube. 

Tumbbad - 

Though very popular now, Tumbbad remained unknown to its audience for a very long time until it won many awards in the Filmfare awards show. A whole blend of horror, chilling storyline, phenomenal performances and a whole theme of greed had been shown wonderfully in the movie. A must watch underrated movies all time. The film was made by the same directors as that of  'Ship of Theseus'.
